Why is it that this kind of thing invariably happens when British teams play and when British supporters are involved ?

Liverpool will have to spend really big, and this time they will need to buy quality players.

My question is: does Benitez really know what he's doing, when it comes to buying players ? I'm beginning to have my doubts. Ever since he's been at Anfield he's bought unknown players who, in most cases, didn't make the difference.
