Forbes Magazine has declared, for the second year running, that Manchester United is the world’s most valuable club.

The club is worth US$1.8 billion which is almost 25% up on last year’s figure.

Completing the top three are the same two as last year and in the same order. Real Madrid are second with US$1.285 billion and Arsenal US$1.2 billion.

Biggest movers from last year are Liverpool who has moved from eleventh place to fourth.

German club Bayern Munich are fifth followed by AC Milan, Barcelona, Chelsea, Juventus and Schalke 04.

Richest soccer player is David Beckham who, since his move from Real Madrid to Los Angeles Galaxy, has relegated Ronaldinho to second. Beckham is worth US$49 million, according to Forbes, with the unsettled Brazilian forward at US$33 million.

According to the magazine Manchester United are likely to maintain that position next season after their Champions League Final appearance next month against Chelsea in Moscow.
