FC Barcelona have confirmed that midfielder Yaya Touré will undergo surgery on a slipped disc at the end of the Primera División campaign.
 
The Ivory Coast international is currently fit again after missing the weekend win over Valencia CF with an ankle injury, but he has struggled with his back throughout the season and has been restricted to 24 championship appearances. The 24-year-old will face a four to six-week lay-off following the operation.
