At this moment I think they're the strongest, but for how long? A few years ago Italy was the strongest and another few years before that, it was Spain.

definitely not. Two teams / MU and Liverpool/dont't make a league. The remaining 18 are below par according to european standards.

The level of investment in Premiership clubs from overseas investors suggests the English league will be the most superior for a long time to come.

The best in the world ? I don't think so. Let's not forget that England did not even qualfy for Euro 2008.

certainly NOT !
there was first all-spanish final REAL MADRID_Valencia, then italian milan-inter.
and now much later they wish to be the best... I mean come on lads, only RealMadrid won more titles than almost all english clubs together :)

english league is the strongest and it will stay for at least another 10 years. they have the most rich teams so they can have the best players.

The EPL is the best league in the world BUT only because teams like Arsenal imports dozens of foreign superstars. They only have Walcott and one other English player on their books, and sure, they play great football which is enjoyable to watch, but it doesnt really represent the quality of the league.
If all these foreign players were spread over Italy, Spain and the other big European leagues, i think English clubs would have trouble taking up three of the four semi-final spots in the UCL.
You only have to look at Euro 2008, and the fact that England aren't going to see their are shortcomings in the quality of English players and the EPL being disguised by players like Drogba, Torres, C. Ronaldo, Abedayor and others.
