Karlsruher SC midfielder Michael Mutzel has signed a contract keeping him with the Bundesliga club until the summer of 2011.

The new deal represents a two-year extension for a player who has been with Karlsruhe since 2004. "I feel really settled here," said the 28-year-old. "I am part of a hard-working team." Formerly with Eintracht Frankfurt and VfB Stuttgart, Mutzel has made 66 league appearances for KSC.
