Former France defender Frédéric Déhu has announced his retirement at the age of 35, having failed to find a new club after leaving Spanish side Levante UD in the summer.

The five-times capped international won the French title with RC Lens in 1997/98 and the French League Cup the following season. He then played for FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain FC and Olympique de Marseille.
