MIDDLESBROUGH (SW) – Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate has promised his fans to strengthen his squad even more by the time that the transfer window closes.
Speaking after the controversial signing of the twenty one year old midfielder Didier Digard from PSG for ₤4 million on a four year contract as well as ₤3.2 million signing of twenty year old Marvin Emnes from Sparta Rotterdam Southgate said that these two young players will be the first of a number of signings before the 2008/9 season gets underway in August.
During the last Dutch season Emnes netted eight goals in the last ten matches of the season.
He added that the club is constantly monitoring the situation and hope to have more players signed by the club sooner rather than later.
