With this team, I don't see why we should not finish at least in 5th place. Maybe 4th.

Freddy Adu, the Boy Wonder. Seriously, I remember the controversy that came up when he went pro for DC United at age 14. And I was one of those who thought that maybe this shouldn't be happening. Of course, Adu has proved me wrong and is now playing in Portugal. Good job, Adu! Keep it up!

Tonto, sorry but I havn't much to say about this news story but I did want to respond to your post regarding the "proverbial crystal ball". Your comment may be daring but totally unsupported as you well know! My statement is common knowledge but only within a circle of business associates of which I operate and such information is vital to the assure the success of certain business relationships between the club and its business partners, of which certain financial aspirations rely on knowing the marketing potential of certain players. Yes I do have inside connections so no crystal ball needed!

Tontodonati July 18th, 2008 19:56

newtonheath 1878, I do have a crystal ball, and a very good one at that! Was I not right in saying that perhaps you had inside informations? By the way, what did you say after the first word, Tonto? --- Chakal, how many times do I have to say that I am a Canadian citizen? I lived in Toronto, Canada 38 years!

Neatonheath 1878, I had not noticed that your avatar show the beginning of the Bible. If you are a "Born Again," then "Try Again," If you are an Anglican, then go back to the Catholic Church just like those hundreds of priests and bishops of the Anglican communion are trying to do!

I often wonder why there aren't any women that post their comments on this blog. From a personal viewpoint, I firmly believe that it's always inportant to hear a woman's perspective.

So, this is an open invitation to all those chicks who visit this blog on a regular basis, to join this forum and post their comments, in the spirit of friendship and love for the Beautiful Game.

Giorgio, I for one would like nothing better than to keep women out of this blog. They are too disctractive and fickle. Next thing you know, they will ask us to marry them. I already have enough problems.as it is.

Women football is very popular in the USA so I expect some american ladies to start contributing to this blog. As for Tonto worries I think at this point they are a bit premature.
