PRAGUE (AFP) - Czech midfielder Marek Matejovsky announced his transfer to English Premier League club Reading from current Czech league outfit Mlada Boleslav in a news conference on Monday.

"I am happy with the transfer, I am going to the best league in the world," the 26-year-old international said in Prague.

Financial terms for the three-and-a-half year contract were not revealed by either club.

Matejovsky has played 104 games and scored seven goals in the top Czech league.

He made his debut for the Czech national team in a friendly against Belgium in February last year, scoring one goal against Germany in the Czech's qualification for this year's European Championships.
