BERLIN (AFP) - Hamburg's Dutch international Raphael van der Vaart revealed Saturday that he will not be renewing his contract with the German side and sees his future more at Italian club Juventus.

"I'm not signing, I'm not prolonging (my contract)," the Hamburg skipper told the daily Bild.

The club had proposed a contract extension for the 24-year-old until 2012 with an annual salary of four million euros.

But van der Vaart said: "My dream of playing in a very big club is great. And if I tie myself to Hamburg until 2012 it would be too long for me."

Concerning reports of a move to Juventus, he said: "There isn't an official offer. I've heard that Juve are interested and I can imagine myself playing there."

According to the German press, Juventus are ready to offer the Dutch midfielder a five-year contract worth 17 million euros.

Van der Vaart's contract with Hamburg runs until 2010.

The club rejected a 22-million-euro offer from Spanish side Valencia this summer.

The midfielder has kick-started his career at Hamburg after an unsuccessful spell at Ajax, scoring 26 goals in 59 Bundesliga matches.
