KRC Genk are looking for a new coach after parting company with Hugo Broos by mutual consent. "It was obvious we couldn't continue like this, and Hugo knew it too," said the Belgian club's chairman Harry Lemmens.
The decision was made on Saturday morning after Genk had suffered their third straight loss the night before – going down 1-0 at home to lowly K. Sint-Truidense VV in a local derby. The 55-year-old former RSC Anderlecht, Club Brugge KV and Belgium defender took charge in summer 2005 and guided Genk to fifth and second-placed finishes in the last two seasons.
