Benítez: We were very close

Liverpool FC manager Rafael Benítez said the margins between success and failure in the UEFA Champions League were very fine after his side's 3-2 defeat at Chelsea FC saw them fail to make their third final in four years.
"I think we were very close," Benítez said. "We played well in the second half, had control of the game and created opportunities but, in the end, their second and third goals changed everything." |
