RC Deportivo La Coruña defender Antonio Barragán will be sidelined for six to eight months after undergoing surgery for cruciate ligament damage in his right knee, an injury he sustained during last weekend's Primera División encounter with CA Osasuna.

The 20-year-old travelled to Barcelona on Thursday to see specialist Dr. Ramón Cugat and was operated on later in the evening. Barragán, who has played ten league games this term, will be sidelined until October at the earliest.
