1. FC Nürnberg boosted their Bundesliga survival hopes after a 1-0 home win against VfL Wolfsburg moved them off the bottom of the table.

The 35-year-old Czech Republic striker Jan Koller scored his second goal for the club on 79 minutes and it was enough to leapfrog MSV Duisburg and send them to within two points of safety. Wolfsburg remain seventh in the table.
