BERLIN (AFP) - Bayer Leverkusen's German international Simon Rolfes has signed a two-year contract with the Bundesliga outfit, it was revealed on Thursday.

The 25-year-old midfielder, who is set to play for Germany in Saturday's Euro 2008 qualifier in Dublin, will be a Bayer player until 2010 after extending his contract.

Rolfes switched from Alemannia Aachen in the summer of 2005 and made his debut in March during the 1-0 defeat by Denmark in Duisburg, winning the first of his four caps.
