BERLIN (AFP) - Nigeria's teenage goal-scoring sensation Macauley Chrisantus, the top-scorer at this year's Under-17 World Cup, has signed a contract with Bundesliga side Hamburg it was announced on Tuesday.

The 17-year-old won the golden boot at the Under-17 World Cup in Korea this September with seven goals in seven games as Nigeria lifted the junior world crown for the third time.

Chrisantus has signed an amateur contract which will be changed to a professional contract when he reaches his 18th birthday next August.

"We are very pleased to have his services," said Hamburg's sports director Dietmar Beiersdorfer after the teenager trained with the senior squad on Tuesday morning.

Chrisantus had been linked with English Premier League sides Arsenal and Manchester City, before signing with Hamburg, currently third in the Bundesliga table.
