WOLFSBURG, Germany (AFP) - Former German international Klaus Augenthaler has extended his contract as VfL Wolfsburg coach until June 2009.

Augenthaler joined in December 2005 and his contract was due to expire in June.

"This contract extension shows that we want continuity at the club," said Klaus Fuchs, general manager of the club who are currently 12th in the Bundesliga.
