GLASGOW (AFP) - Gabon striker Daniel Cousin of Lens has been signed by Rangers on a three-year contract, the Scottish Premier League club said on Thursday.

The 30-year-old Cousin is eligible to play for his new club in their Champions League third qualifying round, first leg match against Red Star Belgrade at Ibrox on August 14.

Cousin had been at Lens since 2004 and had his best season in 2005/06, scoring 13 goals in 33 league matches, though he fell out of favour with a section of Lens's fans last season. No transfer fee was given.
