DORTMUND, Germany (AFP) - Poland international striker Ebi Smolarek has signed for Spanish Primera Liga side Racing Santander from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.

Smolarek, 26, arrived in Dortmund in January 2005, scoring 25 goals in 81 league games, but had been relegated to the bench following the arrival of Swiss forward Alexander Frei.

Capped 20 times for Poland, Smolarek signed a four-year contract worth a reported 4.8 million euros (6.6 million dollars), of which 20 percent goes to his previous club Feyenoord Rotterdam.
