SAN SEBASTIAN, Oct 27 (SW) – A new coach has been appointed for Real Sociedad.

Former Espanyol and Celta Vigo coach Miguel Angel Lotina has been signed to replace sacked coach Jose Mari Bakero.

Bakero was sacked on Thursday after their disappointing 1 – 4 loss to second division Malaga in the Copa del Rey.

Lotina becomes the fourth coach in a matter of fourteen months.

He is only contracted to the end of this season, but there is a clause that says that he can extend his contract until the end of the following season.
