MANCHESTER, Oct 12 (SW) – Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Danish powerhouse Brondby tried to secure his services during the summer.

The approach was orchestrated by former Manchester United reserve coach Rene Meulensteen, now in charge of Brondby.

"Yes, there was contact, but there was never serious talks of a move," explained Solskjaer.

"I know Rene, who was the coach of the reserves in Manchester.

"We know each other quite well, he is the type who would like to get Ronaldinho to the club."

Solskjaer has made a stunning return to Premiership football after continual injury problems for the last 2 years.
