MONACO, Oct 24 (SW) – Chairman of Ligue 1 club AS Monaco Michel Pastor has announced that coach Laszlo Boloni has been dismissed by the club.

His assistant Laurent Banide will assume control of the coaching, for the time being, at least, until a replacement is found.

In an interview Pastor did not give the reason for the dismissal.

Currently Monaco are in nineteenth place, one from the bottom, in Ligue 1.

Monday’s training session was held by Banide.

At the beginning of the season Monaco had set a European qualification as one of their targets.

Banide’s father Gerard was Monaco's coach from 1979 to 1983 and between February and June 1995.
