GLASGOW, Nov 10 (SW) – Rangers skipper Barry Ferguson has given his support to under-pressure manager Paul Le Guen.
Things went from bad to worse for the former Lyon boss on Thursday as his side were humbled 2-0 by St. Johnstone in the CIS Cup League Cup. Already struggling in the league, sitting third, team skipper Ferguson has urged an improved effort from all involved. " We should not be getting beaten by teams like St Johnstone, but it is not just down to the manager and the assistant manager, it is everybody connected to the club the players included," said Ferguson. "It is about time we started doing it on the pitch more often. "It is still early days and it is not just about the manager, the players have to do it on a Saturday, Thursday, whenever. "There is nobody more determined to turn it around than myself." Reports in Scotland are suggesting that Le Guen has until Christmas to turn things around and save his job. |
