EDINBURGH, Nov 24 (SW) - Hearts manager Valdas Ivanauskas is set to resume his role at the club in the very near future after making a stunning return to Edinburgh on Friday with owner Vladimir Romanov.

The Lithuanian had been out for over a month on sick leave due to ill health believed to be stress-related, but he now says he will resume his managerial role on Monday.

The internal situation has not been good since Ivanauskas began his leave of absence with captain Steven Pressley admitting tension between players and management. Pressley recently was held out of a loss to Falkirk leading to conspiracy theories against the Scotland international.

Ivanauskas will attend Hearts' match against Inverness on Saturday, but will not coach.

After an early season win over Celtic, many thought Hearts could be potential title challengers this term, but they have since slumped all the way down to fifth in the SPL standings.
