ALKMAAR, Nov 11 (SW) - AZ Alkmaar continue to convince in the Dutch Eredivisie. Heracles Almelo were pushed aside 5-0 on Saturday.
Stijn Schaars needed less than two minutes to put the home side in the lead and Demy de Zeeuw added a second in the 23rd minute.
The score remained 2-0 until the 81st minute, when Georgian striker Shota Arveladze netted AZ's third, to score another in the 88th minute.
Danny Koevermans set the final score to 5-0 in the first minute of added time.
AZ are currently second in the Dutch league, but may lose that position to PSV Eindhoven if that team manages to beat Ajax in a top clash on Sunday.
