UDINE, Mar 19 (SW) - Behind leaders Juventus, the top four teams in Italy all were victorious on Sunday in Serie A as AC Milan, Inter Milan, Fiorentina and Roma all claimed full points.

Udinese - AC Milan 0-4

Knocked out of the UEFA Cup during the week, Udinese were simply knocked out on Sunday as they fell to a heavy defeat the hands of AC Milan.

Andriy Shevchenko gave the Rossoneri the advantage in the 42nd minute as they finally broke down a stubborn Udinese defense, and Alberto Gilardino doubled the advantage on the half-hour mark to make it 2-0.

Shevchenko struck again just four minutes later for his second of the match, and the match was wrapped up with 20 minutes to play as Clarence Seedorf punched the back of the net.

Inter Milan - Lazio 3-1

Third-placed Inter kept pace with their city rivals AC Milan, taking the lead over Lazio in the 37th minute when Alvaro Recoba did well to set up Luis Figo for the the 1-0 lead.

Recoba himself made it 2-0 to Inter just after the second-half restart, but Goran Pandev pulled one back for Lazio just eight minutes later.

Recoba, though, got that goal back for Inter in the 72nd minute to complete his brace and the Nerazzurri claimed all three points.

Fiorentina - Ascoli 3-1

After beating Roma last weekend, Ascoli were riding a high going into their match at Artemio Franchi against Fiorentina, and a header by Maurizio Domizzi two minutes before half-time sent them into the break up by a goal.

That lead was erased on 53 minutes when Christian Brocchi equalized for Fiorentina, and the home side really found their stride after Gianluca Commotto was sent off in the 76th minute for his second yellow card.

After that, Luca Toni punched the back of the net in the 82nd minute and Giampaolo Pazzini did likewise two minutes from the end.

Fiorentina are one point up on Roma in fourth place in the league with a game in hand.

Roma - Messina 2-1

After an embarrassing loss to Ascoli a week before, Roma jumped out to a lead and then held on to defeat Messina at Stadio Olimpico.

Simone Perrotta fired the Giallorossi in front after just seven minutes, and they held that 1-0 lead until Alberto Aquilani made it 2-0 with 56 minutes played.

Arturo Di Napoli kept hope alive for Messina in the 68th minute when he pulled a goal back, but the loss saw the Sicilians slip into the relegation zone.

Chievo - Siena 4-1

Chievo sit sixth in the table following a thrashing of nine-man Siena at the Marc'Antonio Bentegodi stadium on Sunday in Serie A.

Igor Tudor was sent off for Siena inside the second minute of the game for a harsh foul on Simone Tribocchi, and Chievo went in front on the penalty that followed which was converted by Victor Obinna.

Siena surprisingly were level on the half-hour as Paolo Foglio converted from the spot after Erjon Bogdani drew a foul in the area, but that was the only good moment for Siena.

Marco Malago fired Chievo into the lead on 57 minutes and Matteo Brighi followed to make it 3-1 just nine minutes later. Matteo Paro became the second Siena player sent off on 70 minutes and Amauri got Chievo's fourth 11 minutes after.

Sampdoria - Palermo 0-2

Pushing hard for a UEFA Cup berth, Palermo scored twice in the second half to secure a big victory in Genoa against Sampdoria.

Massimo Mutarelli put the visitors in front in the 57th minute, and David Di Michele doubled the advantage nine minutes later to put Sampdoria in a hole they could not climb out of.

Reggina - Empoli 0-2

Empoli, battling hard to avoid relegation back to Serie B, got a huge victory away to Reggina on Sunday.

Nicola Pozzi's goal in the 62nd minute gave Empoli the lead, and Empoli leading scorer Francesco Tavano made it 2-0 with eight minutes to play. Reggina's chances to come back were dashed just after that when Giandomenico Mesto was sent off.

Lecce - Parma 1-2

It looks more and more like Lecce will be headed for Serie B next season as they were beaten at the Via del Mare by Parma.

Mark Bresciano gave Parma the lead in the 52nd minute to force Lecce to go all-out for a goal, but Parma were next to score as Fabio Simplicio struck on 90 minutes.

Lecce did get a penalty goal by Paolo Cannavaro in injury time, but they now sit ten points from safety with eight matches left to play.
