PAMPLONA, July 26 (SW) - Osasuna face a goalkeeping riddle as they prepare for UEFA Champions League play after second-choice ‘keeper Jaime Penedo injured his thigh.

The injury is expected to keep the 24-year-old out of action for two months.

Ricardo Lopez is established as the first-choice for the Pamplona club, but the injury to Panama international Penedo leaves Osasuna without a second option as Juantxo Elia will be unable to play as he serves out a suspension.

Elia was sent off in UEFA Cup play last season.

Osasuna, who finished fourth in La Liga last season, await Friday’s UEFA Champions League third-round qualifying draw.
The first leg of the third-round tie is scheduled for 8/9 August.
