LISBON, Jul 11 (SW) - Juventus striker Fabrizio Miccoli will spend a second season on loan at Benfica for the upcoming season while French winger Laurent Robert is headed out the door.
Miccoli, 27, was influential in guiding Benfica to the quarter-finals of the Champions League last season and this will be his third straight season played on loan from Juve after a season apiece at Fiorentina and Benfica.
The Italian forward might seek out a permanent deal with the Portuguese club if his mother club, Juve, is relegated as a result of the match-fixing trial in Italy.
As for Robert, the 31-year-old Frenchman agreed to a two-year contract with La Liga newcomers Levante after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed transfer fee on Tuesday.
Robert played just six months at the Estádio da Luz after his best spell at Newcastle United in the Premiership. Robert was expected to arrive at the Valencia-based club on Tuesday night to sign his contract.
