AMSTERDAM, Jan 29 (SW) - Ajax suffered a 1-4 defeat by FC Utrecht on Sunday, while Feyenoord had an easy 0-4 win at Heracles. On Saturday, PSV had already defeated ADO Den Haag.

Friday:

Roda JC - AZ Alkmaar 1-4

Georgian striker Shota Arveladze opened the score for AZ in the second minute, but Alexander Voigt levelled in the 18th. Arveladze went on to score a second in the 39th however, followed by a goal from Stein Huysegems in the 48th. Arveladze added his third goal in the 53rd minute, for 1-4.

Saturday:

Willem II - NEC Nijmegen 2-2

Only eight minutes were needed for Moussa Dembele to put Willem II in the lead, and Frank van Mosselveld added a second in the 25th. But NEC refused to give up and came back with goals from Jones in the 76th and 84th minutes.

RBC Roosendaal - SC Heerenveen 0-2

Heerenveen striker Arnold Bruggink opened the score after 31 minutes, and the visitors would eventually win 0-2 thanks to a goal from Petter Hanson in the 84th minute.

Sparta - FC Twente 1-0

Sparta needed only three minutes to open the score through Jason Oost, and FC Twente failed to use the remainder of the match to equalize.

Sunday:

ADO Den Haag - PSV Eindhoven 0-2

Peruvian striker Jefferson Farfán received a pass from captain Cocu in the 55th minute and did well to score for 0-1, and a second goal was added by Cocu himself in the 78th minute, leaving ADO without a chance on their own frozen pitch.

Heracles Almelo - Feyenoord 0-4

Striker Salomon Kalou opened the score for Feyenoord in the 25th minute, and Dirk Kuijt netted a second eleven minutes later. Winger Romeo Castelen was responsible for Feyenoord's third goal in the 39th minute and Patrick Paauwe added a fourth in the 75th.

Ajax - FC Utrecht 1-4

FC Utrecht crushed Ajax at the Amsterdam Arena, with Adil Ramzi opening the score after only two minutes. Marcus Rosenberg levelled in the first minute of the second half, but former PSV and AZ player Ramzi added another two goals in the 48th and 86th minute. Robin Nelisse converted a penalty in the 89th minute, 1-4.

FC Groningen - NAC Breda 3-2

In their second match at the new Euroborg stadium, FC Groningen added another three points to their account with a 3-2 win over NAC. Yevgeni Levchenko opened the score for the home side in the 18th minute,but Sander van Gessel equalized in the 56th.

One minute later, Glen Salmon restored Groningen's lead but Leonardo, who joined NAC from Feyenoord earlier this week, scored for 2-2 in the 74th minute. A decisive goal came from Rasmus Lindgren in the 90th minute.

RKC Waalwijk - Vitesse 0-1

The match between RKC and Vitesse was anything but entertaining, but the visiting side managed to earn three points thanks to a goal from Michael Dingsdag in the 64th minute.
