STRASBOURG, Jan 25 (SW) – Slovakian international striker Szilard Nemeth has ended his stay with Middlesbrough in the English Premier League to join struggling French club Strasbourg.

‘Boro are top heavy with strikers including the likes of Viduka, Hasselbaink, and Yakubu and have been looking to trim their wage budget during the January transfer window.

Following a prolonged spell on the sidelines, Nemeth has taken the opportunity to move to Ligue 1 where he will be expected to deliver immediately to help fight relegation fears at the 19th placed side.

The player joins on loan from Middlesbrough, but could turn the move into a permanent deal with his ‘Boro contract expiring at the end of the season.
