ROTTERDAM, Feb 19 (SW) - Feyenoord defeated Sparta in the Rotterdam city derby while AZ Alkmaar crashed to a 2-3 defeat by FC Utrecht. Ajax meanwhile, crushed RBC with four goals from Huntelaar.

Friday:

Vitesse - PSV Eindhoven 1-3

League leaders PSV visited Vitesse in Arnhem and conceded a goal from Youssouf Hersi in the 43rd minute. Peruvian Jefferson Farfán levelled two minutes later however.

Vitesse seemed able to secure a point but Michael Lamey eventually scored PSV's second goal in the 85th minute, and Farfán added another in stoppage time.

NEC - FC Twente 0-3

Twente had a relatively easy win at NEC Nijmegen, where Blaise N'Kufo opened the score in the 15th minute. A second was added by Kennedy Bakircioglu in the 43rd minute and Patrick Gerritsen netted a third in the 71st.

Saturday:

FC Groningen - RKC Waalwijk 1-0

FC Groningen received RKC at their new Euroborg stadium and scored only one goal, through Mark Jan Fledderus in the 22nd minute. As RKC failed to reply however, this was enough for the victory.

Roda JC - SC Heerenveen 2-1

Heerenveen meanwhile crashed to a defeat at Roda, despite taking the lead through striker Arnold Bruggink in the 17th minute. Gregoor van Dijk converted a penalty to equalize in the 53rd, and the winning goal came from Simon Cziommer in the 66th minute.

Sunday:

Feyenoord - Sparta 4-0

The Rotterdam derby, at the Kuip stadium, had Feyenoord beating Sparta 4-0 with goals from Nicky Hofs in the 28th and 37th minutes, one from Dirk Kuijt in the 52nd, and a final goal from Ali Boussabon in the 88th minute.

AZ Alkmaar - FC Utrecht 2-3

AZ Alkmaar dropped valuable points against Utrecht at the Alkmaarderhout. The visitors took a secure lead with goals from Leendert van Steensel in the 3rd minute, former AZ player Adil Ramzi in the 27th and Robin Nelisse (penalty) in the 34th.

Van Steensel however, scored an own goal in the 55th minute and Danny Koevermans netted for 2-3 in the 62nd. But Utrecht held on to their lead and earned three points.

Ajax - RBC Roosendaal 6-0

Ajax crushed last-placed RBC Roosendaal with no less than four goals from Klaas Jan Huntelaar. The former Heerenveen striker scored in the 4th, 71st, 78th and 86th minutes. Marcus Rosenberg was responsible for two goals, in the 28th and 86th minutes.

Heracles - ADO Den Haag 1-3

Eljero Elia's opening goal for ADO in the 27th minute was cancelled out by Tanghe two minutes later. But ADO restored their lead through Edwin de Graaf in the 82nd minute and a third came from Sean Doherty in the 87th.

Willem II - NAC Breda 2-0

An own goal from Evander Sno put Willem II ahead in the 25th minute, and Moussa Dembele doubled the lead just two minutes later.
