MADRID, Dec 17 (SW) - Boca Juniors president Mauricio Macri has traveled to Madrid for transfer talks, but has already set a price of €22 million for midfielder Fernando Gago.

Macri has decided to make the journey to Spain because Real are certain that Gago is an important signing for them to complete in order to strengthen their squad.

Real president Ramon Calderon is thought to have met Macri late on Saturday and transfer negotiations have continued today.

"Real Madrid earn 40 times more than us from their television contracts and their income is 15 times higher than Argentine clubs. I hope that such a powerful club will be able to satisfy the expectations of Boca who want 22 million euros for the player," explained Macri.

"We have to talk everything over with Real Madrid so that we can agree the Gago transfer, I told them not to make me travel unless they were ready to be flexible in the negotiations".
