MUNICH, Dec 9 (SW) - Bayern Munich showed mental strength in a 2-1 victory over Energie Cottbus on Saturday, as a second-half equaliser for the visitors was cancelled out a minute later.
Playmaker Bastian Schweinsteiger put the Bavarians in the lead in the 42nd minute, striking past goalkeeper Piplica for 1-0.
But Energie's Baumgart headed home from a Kukielka assist in the 53rd minute and Bayern had to start all over again.
Belgian Daniel Van Buyten quickly restored the lead however, as his header in the 54th minute set the score to 2-1.
