NANCY, Dec 3 (SW) - Riding a high after a dominating performance against Feyenoord on Thursday, Nancy came back to reality on Sunday in a 3-1 Ligue 1 loss at home to Lille.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 52nd minute when Benjamin Gavanon found the back of the net for Nancy, but it was all Lille after that.
Mathieu Bodmer pulled the visitors level in the 63rd minute before Mathieu Débuchy put them in front just six minutes later, much to the dismay of the home supporters.
Lille got a third goal late on by Souleymane Youla for insurance as they moved into a three-way tie for second place along with Lens and Sochaux.
