ENSCHEDE, Dec 27 (SW) - AZ Alkmaar had to allow Ajax to move back into second place in the Dutch Eredivisie, as the side suffered a painful defeat at FC Twente.

Louis van Gaal's AZ failed to compete with the hosts throughout most of the match. Blaise N'Kufo opened the score on the half hour mark and Kennedy Bakircioglu doubled the lead thirteen minutes later.

Luke Wilkshire took care of Twente's third and last goal in the 59th minute.

Due to the defeat, AZ drop to the third place at Ajax now have a point more.
