LUTON, Dec 22 (SW) – Luton Town manager Mike Newell has been very much in the limelight this season.

It was at Newell’s insistence that the authorities were alerted in connection to the transfer irregularities that hit English football over recent months.

Mike Newell has urged the authorities to throw the net wider in the fight against corruption in football.

He has also called for the investigation to go back beyond the two years that were originally investigated.
