SEVILLE, Dec 20 (SW) - Sevilla temporarily went four points clear in La Liga on Wednesday after completing a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Deportivo La Coruña.

La Liga topscorer Frédéric Kanouté opened the scoring for Sevilla on 28 minutes, his 13th tally of the season, giving the fans at the Sánchez Pizjuán yet another treat.

But the real show for the title hopefuls came in the second half, starting when Kanouté added his second of the game and 14th of the season in the 64th minute from the penalty spot.

The game opened up after that with Luis Fabiano bagging Sevilla's third goal less than a minute later, and Daniel Alves making it 4-0 in the 73rd minute to cap off the impressive win.

Sevilla's lead could shrink back to one point if Barcelona beat Atlético Madrid on Thursday, and the Catalan side also have a game in hand.
