ZARAGOZA, Dec 16 (SW) - Valencia got a goal just before half-time, and it was all they needed to defeat Zaragoza 1-0, and move themselves back into sixth place in the La Liga standings.

The goal that would hold up to be the winner was worthy of such, as Miguel Angulo hit a rocket from over 30 yards that caught Zaragoza goalkeeper César Pérez just off his line, the ball rifling in from a tight angle.

Zaragoza did all they could to try to find an equalizer in the second half, but their attacks were met consistently by a stiff Valencia rearguard, that shut them out.

Pablo Aimar, who was playing his first match against old club Valencia, was virtually a non-factor for Zaragoza, who still sit fourth in the table.
