PARIS, Dec 13 (SW) – Police are going to be in full force at the Parc des Princes in France tonight when PSG take on Panathinaikos in a UEFA Cup tie.

It is believed that as many as 2000 officers will be on duty at the stadium.

Besides the number of officers on duty, part of the stadium (the Boulogne Stand) will also be shut down to fans both tonight and on Sunday when PSG host Nancy in a Ligue 1 fixture.

Tonight’s match will be the first fixture that has taken place since the 23rd of November when PSG lost to Hapoel Tel Aviv that left one fan dead.

UEFA has called tonight’s match a high risk one.
The Boulogne stand is home to PSG's notorious far-right supporters' group, the Boulogne Boys.
