TURIN, Dec 1 (SW) – The speculation surrounding the future of Juventus and Italy’s goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has been dispelled by boss Giovanni Cobolli Gigli.

Gigli said in a statement Buffon was key to their plans for the future.

Buffon was second behind Fabio Cannavaro in the recent European Footballer of the year awards.

Currently Juventus lie second, one point behind Naples in Serie B.
