PORTO ALEGRE, Aug 17 (SW) - A day after securing the club's greatest-ever success in the Copa Libertadores, SC Internacional learned that two key figures, Tinga and Bolívar, were exiting the club for jobs in Europe.
Midfielder Tinga, who scored a goal and was sent off in the second leg on Wednesday evening, signed a three-year deal with Borussia Dortmund after they agreed a fee of €2.5 million.
Dortmund, who recently got a commitment from manager Bert van Marwijk, had been seeking out the 28-year-old attacking midfielder since May and he will be with the team for their Bundesliga match against Mainz on Saturday, although he will not play.
Central defender Bolívar, meanwhile, agreed to a deal with French side Monaco after appearing in every one of Inter's matches in the knockout stages of the Libertadores.
Forwards Rafael Sóbis and Fernandão are also likely to be the target of some of Europe's big clubs after impressive performances throughout the tournament.
