LONDON, Aug 30 (SW) – Charlton Athletic have agreed a fee for defender Souleymane Diawara of Sochaux.

Addicks boss Iain Dowie is desperately working 'round the clock to bolster his squad after a somewhat indifferent start to the new campaign has seen the Londoners open with 2 losses in 3 games.

"Souleymane is going to Charlton as both clubs have agreed a fee," revealed agent Lee Anderson.

"He has had talks and passed his medical at the club.

"Souleymane has agreed a three-year deal and he should complete the formalities of the deal soon."

A fee of about £2.5 million is speculated to have been agreed between the two clubs.
