Italy: Juventus and Milan win, Internazionale lose to Empoli

SIENA, Apr 30 (SW) - Juventus and AC Milan both won their matches on Sunday, while Internazionale crashed to a defeat at Empoli and are out of contention for the second place.

Siena - Juventus 0-3

Juventus needed less than ten minutes to decide their match at Siena. After three minutes, it was Patrick Vieira to open the score for the league leaders, and David Trezeguet doubled the lead three minutes later. The third, and as it turned out last goal came from Romanian striker Adrian Mutu in the 8th minute.

AC Milan - Livorno 2-0

AC Milan made no mistakes against Livorno and beat their opponents 2-0. Both goals were scored by Filippo Inzaghi, in the 28th and 65th minutes.

Empoli - Internazionale 1-0

Internazionale allowed city rivals AC Milan to secure the second place, due to a defeat at Empoli. The only goal of the match came from Marco Materazzi, who hit his own net in stoppage time.

The difference between AC Milan and Internazionale is now eight points with just two matches left.

Palermo - Fiorentina 1-0

Palermo hosted Fiorentina on the southern island of Sicily, and took three points thanks to a single goal from David Di Michele in the 52nd minute.

Chievo Verona - AS Roma 4-4

No less than eight goals were scored in Verona, where Chievo hosted AS Roma. Daniele De Rossi put Roma ahead in the fourth minute, but Amauri levelled four minutes later. De Rossi then restored the lead in the 14th minute and Rodrigo Taddei set the score to 1-3 in the 25th.

but Amauri (36th), Luciano (49th) and Sergio Pellissier (penalty, 61st) then scored to put Chievo in the lead. Just a minute after the converted penalty, Olivier Dacourt levelled for Roma, 4-4.

Lazio Roma - Lecce 1-0

At the Stadio Olimpico, all Lazio Roma needed for a win was a goal from Tommaso Rocchi in the 56th minute. Lecce's Babu was sent off with a red card in the 82nd minute.

Cagliari - Parma 3-1

Eleven minutes were needed for Andrea Capone to open the score for Cagliari, and David Suazo converted a penalty for 2-0 in the 31st minute. Mauro Esposito added another in the 63rd, and Bernardo Corradi got one back for Parma in the 74th.

Reggina - Messina 3-0

All goals at Reggina versus Messina were scored in the second half, through Francesco Cozza, Nicola Amoruso and Rolando Bianchi respectively. Alessandro Parisi was sent off for Messina in the 61st minute.

Sampdoria - Udinese 1-1

Sampdoria and Udinese held each other to a draw, with Antonio Di Natale opening the score for Udinese in the 57th minute, and Francesco Flachi equalizing for 'Samp' in the 61st.

Treviso - Ascoli 2-2

Treviso, who won't appear in the Serie A next season, hosted Ascoli and conceded a goal from Pasquale Foggia in the 12th minute. Reginaldo (14th) and Marco Borriello (28th) turned things around, but Foggia levelled the score for the visitors in the 81st.
