GELSENKIRCHEN, Apr 2 (SW) - Hamburg still have an outside shot at taking the Bundesliga title, moving to within seven points of Bayern Munich with a win away to ten-man Schalke on Sunday.

Schalke - Hamburg 0-2

With both sides vying for a Champions League spot, these will be big points for Hamburg but they may not have been possible had Schalke defender Rafinha not been sent off on 29 minutes for striking Rafael van der Vaart in the face.

The Dutchman fired Hamburg into the lead in the 57th minute when his free kick eluded everyone in the Schalke wall along with goalkeeper Frank Rost, giving the visitors a 1-0 advantage.

Still uncomfortable being up a goal, Hamburg were relieved to get a second goal in the 80th minute as Ailton, playing against his former club, finished beautifully to secure the points.

Hannover - Arminia Bielefeld 0-1

Hannover still face an uphill battle to earn a berth in Europe after being defeated at home by Arminia Bielefeld on Sunday.

Albanian midfielder Fatmir Vata gave the visitors the lead after just five minutes and that goal would hold up to be the winner.
