UEFA Cup: Monaco, Marseille, Strasbourg and Lens win

MARSEILLE, Sep 29 (SW) - AS Monaco, Olympique de Marseille, Strasbourg and Lens are through to the group phase in the UEFA Cup, while Auxerre lost at Levski and are eliminated on away goals.

Willem II - Monaco 1-3
Monaco win 5-1 on aggregate

AS Monaco defeated Dutch side Willem II twice to advance to the next round. In the second leg the 2004 Champions League finalists scored through Maicon, Adebayor and Chevanton, while Willem II's only goal came from Hadouir in the 82nd minute.

Strasbourg - GAK 2-0
Strasbourg win 7-0 on aggregate

Strasbourg easily defeated Grazer AK 5-0, with Hagui openin the score after six minutes. Farnerud added another two goals, and the last two came from Le Pen (penalty) and Hosni respectively.

Levski - Auxerre 1-2
Levski win on away goals, 2-2 on aggregate

Auxerre won their first leg match with Levski but conceded one goal in the second, to be eliminated on away goals. The decision came from Milan Koprivarov in the 26th minute.

Groclin - Lens 2-4
Lens win 5-3 on aggregate

In Poland, Lens defeated Groclin Dyskobolia 4-2 with goals from Daniel Cousin (2), Aruna Dindane and Yoan Lachor. The hosts scored through Sedlacek (penalty) and Sablik.

Marseille - GBA 0-0
Marseille win 4-1 on penalties, 0-0 on aggregate

Both matches between Marseille and Germinal Beerschot ended without goals, so a penalty shootout was needed to decide the winner. Marseille were the best from eleven meters, and won the shootout 4-1.
