LE MANS, Nov 25 (SW) - Auxerre continued to ride their wave of good results, Jacques Santini's jumping to second in the table in Ligue 1 after a 2-0 win away to Le Mans on Friday.

Belgium international Luigi Pieroni put the visitors in front 20 minutes in, smashing in a low shot from outside the area and the win was sealed on 67 minutes when Pieroni put Yann Lachuer in on goalkeeper Yohann Pelé and Lachuer converted, putting the Burgundy side two points in front of PSG and Bordeaux.

Auxerre now have lost just one of their last six league fixtures, but can fall back in the table as PSG host Lens on Sunday and Bordeaux visit Saint-Etienne. Leaders Lyon are at Nice on Saturday.
