Scotland: Celtic, Hearts win while Falkirk hold Rangers

GLASGOW, Dec 4 (SW) - Rangers once again dropped points as Falkirk held McLeish's men to a 2-2 draw at Ibrox. Hearts and Celtic were more successful, with wins over Livingston and Aberdeen respectively.
Saturday Hearts - Livingston 2-1 Hearts only needed fifteen minutes to take a secure lead with two goals from Skacel. Walker got one back for Livingston in the 63rd minute, but the hosts managed to hold on to their lead. Dundee United - Hibernian 1-0 A goal from Samuel in the 61st minute was decisive for Dundee United, who achieved a somewhat surprising win over Hibernian. Dunfermline - Kilmarnock 0-1 After their win over Celtic, Dunfermline failed to keep up the good work and suffered a 0-1 defeat by Kilmarnock, who now take the fourth place in the Scottish Premiership. The decisive goal came from Boyd in the 41st minute. Rangers - Falkirk 2-2 An own goal from Ireland put Rangers in the lead after 31 minutes, and Lovenkrands converted a penalty for 2-0 in the 50th minute. But Moutinho got one back for Falkirk in the 69th minute, and also netted the equalizer two minutes later. Motherwell - Inverness 0-2 Inverness broke the deadlock a goal from Dargo in the 63rd minute, and the same player also got his side's second goal in the 88th. Sunday Aberdeen - Celtic 1-3 Celtic conceded a goal from Winter in the 53rd minute, but McGeady levelled only three minutes later. Stilian Petrov put the Bhoys in the lead in the 58th minute, and Telfer got the league leaders a third goal in the 64th. |
