BARCELONA, Dec 20 (SW) - Barcelona extended their winning streak to 13 games on Tuesday by defeating Celta de Vigo, 2-0 at Camp Nou in the first of a full round of midweek games in La Liga.
Celta nearly took the lead on 32 minutes as striker Fernando Baiano worked his way into the Catalans penalty area, but the Brazilian saw his shot hit the post.
Six minutes later, Barça were on the board after some smarts by two-time reigning FIFA World Player of the Year Ronaldinho led to a goal by Samuel Eto'o.
After winning a free kick, the Brazilian playmaker saw the Celta players arguing the call, he then took the free kick quickly and put Eto'o in on goal and he looped the ball past goalkeeper Esteban for a 1-0 advantage.
In the 57th minute, Eto'o struck again for the home side, putting the game out of reach for the outmatched Galicians.
Andrés Iniesta received the ball about 20 yards from goal and then hit a precise pass through a small gap to Eto'o who fired home into the corner.
