TURIN, Aug 29 (SW) – Italian champions Juventus have landed Cruzeiro youngster Gladstone on a one-year loan arrangement.

The deal gives the Bianconeri the option to purchase the defender at the end of the season for £2 million, with an initial £100,000 having already been exchanged between the two clubs.

Reports in Italy suggest that the youngster could be used as part of a deal to tempt AS Roma into parting with want-away striker Antonio Cassano.
