WOLFSBURG, Aug 22 (SW) – German side Vfl Wolfsburg have completed the double signing of Steve Marlet from Fulham and Alex from Benfica.

"Steve Marlet is very well known in international football, a player who is fast and versatile,” said general manager Thomas Strunz.

“Alex is less well known, despite being an international, but he is technically very good, like all Portuguese players, and has exactly the right qualities for a right-sided defender."

Frenchman Marlet has signed a one-year deal with the club with an option to extend, with Alex committing his future to the Bundesliga side for four seasons.
